Welcome to the Isles International University, house of the School of Doctoral Studies for the European Union, where European cultural tradition going back hundreds of years lives side by side with dynamic developments in education and research for the benefit of society, today and tomorrow.
Our University has been appointed to perform mandatory tasks on tuition institutions’ academic quality certification outside the EU, by running quality assurance processes on these institutions academic programmes methodology and by awarding the EUASC Seal, to ensure European Union Analogue Standards on academic performance worldwide.
This chief responsibility comes along with the mandate to apply EUASC processes oriented to grant validation on degrees earned by students in universities, colleges, schools and other tuition institutions worldwide, elsewhere the EU.
These highly relevant tasks, combined with the outstanding privilege to run the main school of postgraduate studies in the EU turns our University into a unique academic institution, with all the advantages of highest academic standards available worldwide, ensured by a staff which includes some of the best minds in Europe.
Our departments, research centres and intercollegiate collaboration agreements with 19 other Universities around the EU also help to foster the intense interdisciplinary approach that inspires much of the outstanding research achievement of the University and makes the IIU a leader in so many fields.
Our focus is on students, teachers and researchers. We believe it is important that our students realise the full significance of critical thinking and creativity. It is an approach especially suited to confronting many of the hugely complex challenges that face us all.
That is why we believe that the greater we can make the IIU, the greater its contribution to the well-being of the world you and I share.Professor José Carlos Arias
