Tuition Institutions Certification

Certification process is meant exclusively to tuition institutions located elsewhere of the European Union and though, as a consequence, it may ultimately provide certified institutions with recognition from all different official, academic, scientific and private instances which recognise the Isles International University (European Union), main goal aimed by the process is to assist tuition institutions which become submitted to certification on improvement of their tuition/learning processes to match standards of excellence, analogue to those observed at the best recognised universities within the European Union.

Therefore, certification process will not only manage to match quality standards measured at a specific tuition institution to those of schools and universities in the EU, classifying these standards at the quality level they show at a certain time, but will also assist institutions on goals, strategies and ways for upgrading internal academic methodology and tuition/learning procedures, so that higher levels of quality standards may become achieved gradually up to reaching and maintaining level of excellence.

EUASC Seal is awarded for a period of one year and must be renewed and / or upgraded, if that should be the case, on yearly basis by Certified Institutions going through quality assessment and surveillances process.

Among many other benefits, students who finish their studies programmes at certified institutions which have become awarded the EUASC Seal on AAA, AA or A levels, have the right to apply for studies and/or degrees validation at the Isles International University; they would be awarded studies and/or degrees validation certificate once this process’ requirements are properly completed by applicants.

As certification is assessed and awarded to institutions, and tuition institutions will normally provide a number of different studies programmes, the process is complicated and requires specialists’ due diligence to gather a great deal of data involved with quality assurance practices from the institution submitted under process, regarding programmes provided, tuition/learning process, and a number of topics which will, ultimately, feed EUASC quality assurance models feeding and running.

The first goal of certification process aims to identify institutions´ tuition/learning process quality level; once this is achieved through thorough analysis of data and information provided by candidate school, and tuition institution receives certification award at any of the four quality standards levels, the process aims to assist this certified institution on upgrading towards level of excellence, and/or maintaining this level once it has been achieved.

Through a GAP Analysis model, highlighting of green signals is shown on procedures which are being run under acceptable quality standards, yellow signals on procedures which require improvement and red signals on those which demand restructuring processes. By this methodology upgrading programmes’ goals and strategies can be effectively designed, assessed, followed up and corrected on the certified institutions’ way towards level of excellence on quality academic standards.

Certification process is conducted on three basic stages:

pdfAcademic Certification Process

As part of permanent quality standards improvement programmes, all studies programmes provided by candidate and certified institutions are individually evaluated and considered for certification and for upgrading processes.

Effectiveness of the process derives from the fact that evaluation and assessment are performed on permanent basis and always on-site, at the very facilities of every candidate or certified institution. This can be achieved due to conceptual design of the EUASC certification process which includes appointing a permanent Academic Attaché working on permanent basis in the candidate or certified institution’s operation, closely related to everyday’s management of each faculty, department, lecture and studies programme at institution’s organisation.

Appointment of Academic Attachés is, by itself, a complex process which takes place before certification process formally starts, and includes selection of one academician from among three candidates proposed to the EUASC Committee, from institution’s own academic staff. Once one of these three candidates has been selected and appointed as local Academic Attaché for the EUASC Committee, he/she is properly trained by the Committee’s staff on Academic Quality Assurance principles, methodologies, procedures, goals and strategies, before receiving specific instructions on the job he/she will perform as Committee’s Attaché at candidate institution’s organisation.

To become a certified tuition institution by being awarded the EUASC Seal, institutions must submit, before the Admissions Department at the International Office of The Isles International University, the EUASC/TIC/01 Application Form properly completed and fill out initial questionnaire.
