Libraries and Research Centre

Introduction

Libraries and Research Centre resources are organized according to research activities requirements at the Isles Internationale Université, by four Research Units, each one of which regards to correspondent Department of the School of Doctoral Studies (European Union).

Total resources (as per December 31st, 2008) include 586,328 books, videos and monographs, 14,208 academic and scientific journals including 398,328 academic and scientific articles, 195 research projects, 47 affiliated research centres, 9 laboratories, 18 fully equipped lectures and conference facilities, 6 performing, scenic and visual arts exhibition forums, among many other specific discipline’s featured resources.

On line access and downloadable featured documents facilities include above mentioned books, videos, monographs, academic and scientific journals, academic and scientific articles, 35 research projects’ documental content, 19 external affiliated research centres, museums, cultural and scientific institutions.

As part of the Université’s Open Access Project, in collaboration with the DOAJ, our knowledge management partner, the Research Centre’s Libraries provide full open access and downloadable featured facilities on line for visitors to over 260,000 monographs and over 3,000 journals; on line access at basic information levels is also provided for visitors to research facilities affiliated to this project (14 affiliated research centres and departments’ research projects).

A substantial amount of resources are exclusively reserved for Faculty, researchers and registered students access; on line access to Research Centre’s full resources is granted solely through registered codes and passwords provided by the Academic Registrar’s Department of the Université.
